Annie Leibovitz nació en Estados Unidos en 1949. Su estilo es reconocido por la interacción entre el fotógrafo y el tema que es fotografiado. Empezó tomando fotos de su familia. Tomaba fotos todo el tiempo y a todas horas. Después trabajó para la revista "Rolling Stone" que en ese entonces era muy chica pero que después la lanzaría a la fama mundial.
Actualmente es la fotógrafa mejor pagada y ha trabajado para revistas prestigiosas como Vanity Fair y Rolling Stone. Ha tomado muchas fotos controversiales (como la de Demi Moore embarazada y John Lennon con Yoko Ono) que han hecho de su fotografía mucho más interesante y peculiar.
